Text messaging
Hearthline provides websites and call tracking to local contractors — plumbers, electricians, HVAC and similar trades. When you call one of those businesses and the call is not answered, Hearthline sends a single text message back to you on that business’s behalf so your enquiry is not lost. This page explains exactly how that works.
- How you opt in
- By calling the business yourself. The phone number you call is published on that business’s own website. Placing that call is what starts the conversation — we do not add anyone to a list, buy numbers, or message people who have not called first.
- What triggers a message
- One thing only: your call was not answered. If the business picks up, no text is sent.
- Who the message is from
- The business you called. The message is sent on their behalf and identifies them by name.
- What it says
- Sorry we missed you - this is Ridgeline Plumbing. What’s going on? Reply here or book a time: https://ridgelineplumbing.com Reply STOP to opt out.
Example wording, with a sample business name. The link is the business’s own website; when a business has no site on file the message reads “Reply here and we’ll get right back to you” instead. Anything after this is an ordinary two-way conversation with the business.
- How often
- At most one automatic message per missed call, and never more than one to the same caller in a 24-hour period. Any further messages are replies from the business in a conversation you continue.
- Cost
- Message and data rates may apply. Hearthline does not charge you for these messages; your mobile carrier’s standard rates apply.
- How to stop
- Reply STOP to any message and you will not be texted again by that business. STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPTOUT and REVOKE all work the same way. Reply START to resume.
- How to get help
- Reply HELP for support information, or email support@gethearthline.com.
- Your number
- Mobile numbers collected through a call to a business are used only to reply to that caller on behalf of that business. They are not shared with other businesses, advertisers, data brokers or affiliates, and they are not used for marketing. See the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
